Visual Perception

Making sense of what the eye`s sees interprets the information and extrapolates the data to construct the whole picture. The occipital lobe panels visual processing, identifying colours, lines and contours and aids in spatial awareness. The occipital lobe is located at the back, this lobe is responsible for interpretating visual information.

The occipital lobe panels, visual processing, recognising patterns, lines colours and contours and helps with depth perception and spatial awareness. There is a close relationship between the position of an object in the individual’s visual field and the position of that object in the occipital lobe. This relay from identifying the position of the jigsaw piece on the table to positioning it in the occipital lobe so as to absorb the pattern, colour and contours, it fuels the neurons and hence creates deeper neural pathways.
